Irene Davenport Bartley Major, 96 of Memphis passed away March 27, 2018.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Major; her son, Frank Lynn Bartley; and her daughter, Loraine Suebet Bartley.  She is survived by daughter-in-law, Donna Hart Bartley of Royal Oaks, Michigan; two grandsons, Eric Christopher Bartley and Alexander Lynn Bartley; great - grandson, Cameron Bartley and great - grandaughter, Riley Bartley.  Mrs. Major was retired from the University of Tennessee Dental College where she was secretary to the Department of Crown and Bridge Chairman.  Irene was a member of Christ Methodist Church.  She was associated with several senior organizations.  Graveside Services will be held Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park - Midtown, 1661 S. Elvis Presley Blvd.
