IRENE "Renee" MOORE DABILL, 93, passed away peacefully at home December 1, 2014. She was born February 15, 1921 in Brooklyn, NY. She is survived by her loving husband of 14 years, Lawrence Dabill, daughter, Karen Moore Winterton, and son, Glenn Lee Moore. She is also survived by her five grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death her son, Gene Moore. Irene moved to Memphis after World War II to marry Arthur Canaday Moore; they remained married until his death in 1994. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Coca Cola Bottling Company and Broadnax Jewelers also the Internal Revenue Service. In retirement and until her death, Irene was involved in numerous church, civic and charitable activities. Her personality and tireless energy was felt by all who came in contact with her. She will be forever missed. A private memorial service was held December 5 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home in Memphis. Memorials and donations may be sent to the charity of one''s choice.
