Irene Teresa Rouse Sexton, loving wife, sister and aunt, returned to her maker in peace and contentment on August 8, 2016 after a blessed life of 89 years. She was born on December, 1927 in New York City to George A. Rouse and Freida Cruz Rouse. Irene married the love of her life, Stanley Sexton, and they resided in Springville, Tennessee. Irene and Stan operated business together and enjoyed the Lake and the outdoors of their area. They frequently traveled for adventure and to see family. Irene''s friends and family enjoyed her agreeable and confident nature. She loved to get along and see people make their way. She is survived by her loving brother, George T. Rouse and appreciative and loving nieces and nephews. She will be missed. A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2016 from 12-2 PM with funeral services to immediately follow at 2:00 PM, all at Forest Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park East.
