Iris Christine Corpal Green was born to Christine Lytle Corpal and the late William Harold Corpal on November 23, 1945 in Nashville, TN. She quietly entered into her final sleep on January 1, after an extended illness at Gregory Ridge Living Facility in Kansas City, MO.
Iris professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized at t. John Baptist Church (Vance) by Rev. A. McEwen Williams.
Educated in the Memphis public school system at Porter Elementary, she went on to graduate from Booker T. Washington High School (Class of 1963). She attended Tennessee State University in Nashville.
Iris married Robert Green and moved to Kansas City. She worked for Xerox Corporation where she was and instructor for many years.
Iris loved her two sons, Rodney and Darrel Green and her family. An avid sports fan, she enjoyed watching the Kansas City Chiefs and the Boston Celtics. Iris loved good food and she loved to laugh.
Besides her two sons, she leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Christine Lytle Corpal, Memphis, TN; sister Mary Ann Corpal-Clay of Memphis, TN; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two nephews, and a host of beloved cousins and friends; a devoted friend, Michael Cheadle of Kansas City.
