Iris South, 86, passed away on March 16, 2018 in Memphis, TN. She had been surrounded by her seven children; Ronald (Deborah) South, Glenn South, Barbara South (Wayne) Long, Sharon South (Charles) George, Karla South Robey, Genia South Rahmlow, and Stephen Joe South.  Mrs. South has been blessed with 18 grandchildren; Ronnie, Melissa, David (dcd), Michael, Kristie (Alex), Tracy, Brandy, Jennifer (Dusty), Jeremy (Jennifer), Bubba, Angela (Doil), Stephanie, Amber (Gonzalo), and Kristal, Brittney, Mallory, Zoie, and Stevie.  Also left to cherish her memory are 14 great grand children; Jared, Hagen, Briley, Colton, Kaylen, Easton, Lyla, Diesel, Abigal, AJ, Alex, Andrea, Ezmeralda, and Wyatt, She has a brother Roger (Sandra) Morgan of Tupelo, MS.

Mrs. South is preceded in death by her loving husband Walter Lavern South, a grandson, David Glenn South, a daughter in law, Cassie South and a son in law, Robert Robey.  She had been very involved in the Eastern Star until her health failed and she had been a member of Faxon Ave Baptist Church.  Visitation with her loving family will be on Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with her funeral service on Friday, March 23, 2018 at 10:00a.m. At Forest Hill Funeral Home, East on Whitten Road. 901-382-1000.
