Jack Lee Bunch, 84, of Nesbit, MS died Sunday, February 23, 2014 in Pickens, MS. He was the owner of Memphis Engine Rebuilders for many years and finished his working career with Metro Materials. He was a member of Maples Memorial United Methodist Church where he served as an usher for many years and was active in the men''s club and in the Wesleyan Sunday School Class. Mr. Bunch was an aircraft engine mechanic in the U.S. Navy and an avid horseman showing many champions in the AQHA. He was the son of the late James Docton and Maude Dora Bunch. Mr. Bunch was preceded in death by his wife, Hattie Dell Bunch and his brother, James Paul Bunch. He is survived by his sister, Dora Bunch Parkinson of Pickens, MS. He was loved and cared for by his sister, Dora, his niece and nephew, Toni and Terry Parkinson and their children, Hanna, Abbie and Allie. Mr. Bunch is also survived by many other nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday from 10-11 a.m., with services to follow at 11 a.m., at Maples Memorial United Methodist Church in Olive Branch, MS. Interment will be in Black Jack Cemetery in Vaughan, MS. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Maples Memorial UMC, 8745 Goodman Road, Olive Branch, MS 38654 or PAX Hospice, 359 Towne Ctr. Blvd., Suite 500, Ridgeland, MS 39157.
