Jack H. Lampley, 83, of Bartlett, TN, died Thursday, October 4, 2012 at the Methodist Hospice Residence. He was a retired branch administrator for 35 years for the National Bank of Commerce and ten years with the Community Bank of Germantown. Mr. Lampley was a member of Bartlett Baptist Church, and in the past served as a deacon at the 7th Street Baptist Church, Park Avenue Baptist Church and Elliston Baptist Church. He was involved in sports all his life and was a golden gloves boxing champ, played baseball for championship teams, officiated basketball and was an avid golfer. Mr. Lampley was inducted into the Memphis Park Commission Hall of Fame. He was a 1948 graduate of Humes High School and attended the graduate school of banking at LSU in Baton Rouge, LA. Mr. Lampley is survived by his wife of 21 years, Pat Lampley; son Robert Brandon Lampley; stepson Jason Knight Taylor of Cordova, TN; sister Mary Ellen Owens of Lexington, TX; brothers, J.D. Lampley of Ashland, MS, Aubrey Lampley of Marion, AR; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his son, Jack H. Lampley, Jr. and his brother, William Robert Lampley, Jr. Visitation will be 1:00 pm-2:30 pm, Monday, October 8, 2012, with graveside services to follow at 2:30 pm at Forest Hill Funeral Home East.
