Jackie Neal Seaton, 64, was born in Lexington, TN, and died April 1, 2017 in Memphis after a long illness.
He leaves his wife of 17 years, Gwen Posey Seaton of Southaven; his mother, Melba Brittain Seaton and his brother, Billy Joe Seaton and wife Theresa of Henderson, TN; his father-in-law, Sidney Posey of Southaven, MS; and his stepchildren, Brandy Rhea Cagle and husband Justin, and John Rhea and wife Julia, of Memphis. He is predeceased by his father, Joe Neal Seaton.
He graduated from Kingsbury High School in May, 1971. On June 3, 1971, he joined the U.S. Navy, serving for six years. He worked at Sandy''s as a teenager and later at Colonial Bread for 12 years. He became a distributor for Oroweat breads, and retired from Pepperidge Farm 15 years later. His routes covered the entire Mid-South, and he made many friends over the years at all the stores where he stocked his Oroweat and Pepperidge Farm bread, cookies and Goldfish products.
Jackie will be remembered for his love and dedication to family and friends, his love for gardening and cooking, his dogs, attending all of his large family''s reunions, fishing, and his eight years of volunteering and supporting the BMX track at Shelby Farms.
