James Edward Alpuente, age 86, passed on September 10, 2026.

He was born August 3, 1940 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Harold and Bobbie Alpuente.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Sybil. His parents Harold and Bobbie Alpuente, his sister Relda Homan, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, one niece and two nephews.

He is survived by his children Kim Tibbits (Mitch) and Mark Alpuente of Memphis, one grandson John Tibbits, of Iowa, four great grandsons Connor, Logan, Porter and Luke Wilson of Memphis. One sister Mary Cochran of Nesbit, Mississippi and numerous nephews, nieces and cousin’s.

James retired as an HVAC and maintenance technician from Rosewood Nursing Home.

The family would like to thank the staff of Millington Health Care for their care and demonstrated love.
