James A. Brown, 74, a retired Memphis firefighter, master trim carpenter, and member of Ellendale Church of Christ, went to be with the Lord on May 13, 2015. He leaves his wife of 56 years, Patsy Brown; three sons, James R. Brown, Jerry (Wendy) Brown, Jack (Sonya) Brown; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Also left to cherish his memory, three sisters, Marie Shirley, Edith Grand, Mary Saemenes two brothers, Everett Brown, and Gerald Brown. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday, May 17 and service at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 18 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home on Whitten. Interment will be in Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to St. Jude or Paragould Children''s Home.
