James Richard "Papa" Arnett, Sr., 92, of Southaven, MS went to be with the Lord Friday, December 9, 2016. Mr. Arnett is preceded in death by his wife, Julia Hobbs Arnett; son, James R. "Ricky" Arnett, Jr.; daughter, Bobbie Arnett Wright; six brothers; and 1 sister. He is survived by his daughter, Peggy Arnett Norris(Benny); son, Danny Arnett(Linda); eight grandchildren: Becky Day(Jeff), Michael Norris(Angie), Dan Arnett, Brian Wright(Maurie), Matt Wright(Stacy), Carmen Clark(Brinkley), DeAnne Walters(Eric), and Kyle Arnett; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a sister, Virginia Arnett Martin. Mr. Arnett served our country in the United States Air Force during WWII. A visitation will be held from 11:30-1 pm on Monday, December 12, 2016 with a funeral service to follow at 1:00, both held at DeSoto Hills Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, South on Holmes Rd.
