James Sidney Belk, 89, of Southaven, Mississippi passed away on April 18, 2026.

 Mr. Belk was a member of Colonial Hills Baptist Church. He worked as a diesel mechanic for Carrier Ready Mix from 1970 to 2006.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Laverne Davis Belk: his son, Robert Belk; his parents Robert Earl Belk and Jennie Ruth Dhority Belk, also his brother, Edward Earl Belk.

He leaves his youngest brother Quinn Belk (Paula) two children, a son, Ronnie Belk (Sissy) of Southaven MS, and a daughter Renee Arnold (Keith) of Drummonds Tn.

Nine grand children JR Belk (Kylie), Stacy Long (Chistopher), Nikki Belk, John Belk (Chandler), Zach Belk, Jeb Belk, Snook Belk, Sydni Clemmons (Colt), Amanda Peterson (KC Del).

Fifteen great grand children: William Hawkins, Wesley Hawkins, Jackson Belk, Robert Anthony Belk, Jessie Rossell Belk, Huntley Belk, Rowe Clemmons, Coltley Clemmons, Howdie Vae Peterson, Katija Grisaffi, Rylan Grisaffi, Dlorah Youngblood, Dominic Belk, Orion Belk and Anastasia Villanueva; one great great grandchild: Reese Hawkins.
