James Charles Bishop, Sr. 80, passed away at his home in Hernando, MS. on March 1, 2018.  Mr. Bishop is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Shirley Wages Bishop; his son James Charles Bishop, Jr., daughter Shirl Lynn Walden all of Hernando, MS.  He had 5 grandchildren; Jennifur Bridges (Alan), Christopher Jeter, Jamie Ward (Johnny), Chelsea McGee (Alan) and Bobby Bishop.  He has also been blessed with 9 great grandchildren; Raven, Makayla, Michael, Colton, Landon, Hunter, Gracie ,Reed, and Addy.  He was preceded in death by his grandson Steven Miller and great grand daughter Mazie Jetter, also 4 sisters and 7 brothers.

Mr. Bishop was an ordained minister and in his profession of truck driving he witnessed and ministered on the highways of our great country.  He was a United States Army Veteran and loved all animals and most of all his family and his Lord.  Family will receive friends Monday, March 5, 2018 from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm at Forest Hill Funeral Home South.  His funeral service will be on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 10:00 am at the funeral home.  Forest Hill Funeral Home , South 901-346-3250
