James Paul Brown, 85, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2012. He retired from the Navy after 30 years of service to his country. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen Brown. He is survived by his daughters Paula Pinkley of Denver, CO; Vicki Sorensen and her husband Stephen of Fresno, CA.; grandson Ian Sorensen and his wife Daisy of Kerman, CA; and three great-grandsons, Jacob, Johnathon, and Jaden. He is also survived by his sister Dorothy Bearden of Rainbow City, AL; and brother, Earl Brown of Bowden, GA. Services will be held Saturday, January 5, with 1 p.m. visitation followed by service at 2 p.m., all at Forest Hill East, 2440 Whitten Road (901)382-1000.
