James Calvin Doriot, Sr., 79, died Tuesday, March 24th, 2026, at Baptist Reynolds Hospice House in Collierville, TN. The funeral services will be at Forest Hill Funeral Home East at 2440 Whitten Road, Memphis, TN  on Monday, March 30th, 2026 at 3:00 pm, burial to follow. The Rev. Eddie Thompson will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00 tp 3:00 pm prior to the service.

James "Jim" Doriot was a retired Facilities Director at Lausanne Collegiate School. A follower of Christ. A devoted husband of nearly 57 years to Janelle. A loving father, grandfather, sibling and friend. He was an avid carpenter, fisherman, mechanic, painter and all around Jack of all trades. He was happiest outdoors, fixing anything or just "putzing" around in his garage as he would say. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force where he served from 1967 to 1971 as an aircraft mechanic during the Vietnam War, he was a hard working man with an incredible work ethic and a passion for doing things the right way. A faithful Christian-he served the Lord dutifully building a church in the 80's and serving as a Royal Rangers leader for many years at First Assembly. He loved animals of all kinds and they loved him. Jim is preceded in death by his patents, Esther Schwan and Calvin Doriot and his sister, Nancy Lopez. 

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janelle Doriot pf Oakland, TN, his son, James Doriot, Jr., and his wife Michelle of Bartlett, TN and his daughter, Alisa Williams and her husband, Gary of Bartlett, TN; his siblings, Ruth Bader, Bob and Chris Doriot; He was known as "Grampa" to three precious grandchildren. Lily, and Elia Doriot and Benjamin Williams.
