James "Mike" Forbes of Cordova, Tennessee went home to be with his Heavenly Father on October 23, 2024 at the age of 77.

Mike was very active and full of life. He dedicated his life to serve others. He worked and retired from MLG&W after 25 years, he also worked and retired from Sears & Roebuck after 20 years. Mike served in the U.S. Army as an Instructor. However, more importantly, he dedicated his time and shared his gifts as an ordained deacon at Berclair Baptist Church, a Sunday School Teacher at Germantown Baptist Church, he was also a Gideon. He liked to fish with his father in law and hunt. Although his greatest and most memorable moments were spent with his family.

Mike was preceded in passing by his parents, Fordyce and Lola Forbes; and one sister, Nancy Forbes.

Mike leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 57 years, Gloria "Jean" Forbes; one daughter, Tiffany Forbes; one son, Scott Forbes; and four grandchildren, Ashley Munger, Hunter Scott Forbes, Bailee Forbes, Reese Forbes.
