James Monroe Garner, 66, died May 4, 2017 in Memphis, TN. Born in Dallas, TX to James C. and Roberta Garner, he was a self employed businessman that built swimming pools. He was a member of Church Road Baptist Church in Horn Lake, MS. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 37 years, Paula Garner; sons, James Curtis Garner and Paul Summers; daughters, Tina Renee Garner and Wendy Gleyze; 7 brothers, Curtis Garner, Billy Garner, Tommy Garner, Danny Garner, Donald Garner, Dennis Garner, and James William Garner; 5 sisters, Connie Ferguson, Linda Herbert, Sharlene Garner, Amelia Hale, and Mary Jones; 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Monday, May 8, 2017 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Forest Hill Funeral Home, Midtown. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Forest Hill Funeral Home, Midtown, with interment to follow in Forest Hill Cemetery Midtown.
