James W. Griggs, 72, of Memphis, went to be with the Lord on September 4, 2015. He was the owner of Memphis Air Conditioning and Heating. Mr. Griggs was the widower of the late, Joan Griggs. He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Amy and Alan Cook; son and daughter in law, James W. and Stacey Griggs, II; four grandchildren, Taylor Cook, Nathan Cook, Mackenzie Griggs, Robbie Griggs; two sisters, Doris Gray, Sandra Justice; and a brother, Elton Griggs. Mr. Griggs was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry and Dan Griggs. Visitation will be 1:30 p.m. until service begins at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 6 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home with interment following. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the Alzheimer''s Association or to the American Cancer Society.
