Jim was born on April 1, 1939 in Marks, MS, was a graduate of Madill High School in Madill, OK and retired from Illinois Central Railroad over 15 years prior to his death. He passed away peacefully at his home in Southaven on the night of December 28, 2015. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Cora Hope, a brother Gerald Hope, and his beloved wife, Linda Hope. He leaves behind a son, Jimmy Hope, a daughter, Andrea Orman, a daughter-in-law, Abbie Smith, a son-in-law, Richey Orman, and a grandson, Logan Orman; also two siblings, Dennis Hope and Ann Gray. Jim was a member of the Oakville Masonic Lodge as well as a member of the Shrine Club in Coldwater, MS.Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m.Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Forest Hill South with service Monday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery.
