James Gary Howell, 83, of Olive Branch, MS, passed away surrounded by love on Saturday, June 8, 2024. He was born in Amory, MS on May 30, 1941. After graduating high school, James attended New Mexico Highlands University. He then began his working career at the Memphis Fire Department. He worked there for 25 years and then transferred over to the Germantown Fire Department, he worked there for 13 years until he retired. James married the love of his life Pamela on April 7, 1972. They were married for 52 wonderful years and from that union a beautiful daughter was created. James loved hunting and fishing, as well as playing with his grandchildren, which he loved doing the most!
James is preceded in death by his parents Aubrey and Estelle Howell, his son Gary Shea Howell, and his brothers Bobby and Tommy Howell. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife Pamela Howell, a daughter: Tiffany McGill (Skip) and a son Rocky Howell, as well as 2 grandchildren: Corbin Thurmon and Natalie Christian.
James will forever be in our hearts, and we will miss him more than words can express.
