Obituary

Walls - JAMES L. "Jack" EDWARDS, 80, retired Captain of Memphis Fire Department and retired Desoto County Fire Inspector, passed away February 18, 2014. He was a member of The Church at Lake Forest. He is survived by his wife Evelyn and his little dog Honda, two sons, Steve (Tammy) and Bill (Cynthia), three grandchildren, April (Louie) Edwards, Zach (Stacie) Edwards, and Kyle ((Nancy) Edwards, a great-grandson, Blake, and one little girl, Lacie Ann, on the way, and several nieces and nephews. He was their Uncle Jack who taught them to ski, swim, and some of them to ride motorcycles. Jack loved his family and friends. He would always be there for them and loved to ride his motorcycle and do fund raisers for Shrine children. He was a Mason and Shriner. Visitation Friday, February 21 from 5-7 p.m. with 10 a.m. Services, Saturday, February 22, at Forest Hill South Funeral Home. The family requests that any memorials be sent to The Church at Lake Forest, 7180 West Goodman Road, Walls, MS. 38680, Shreveport Hospital For Children, 3100 Samford Avenue, Shreveport, LA. 71103, or Retired Firefighters Association, 6640 Lake Forest Drice, Walls, MS. 38680.
