James H. "Jim" Tapp, 71, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, DeSoto. Mr. Tapp was an Air Force Veteran and a retired Steamfitter with Local 614. He loved to work in his garden. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Thurman H. Tapp and good friend "Red Man". He leaves his two sons: Dakota Tapp (Heather) of Nesbit and Shayne Tapp (Patty) of Hernando; two grandchildren: Daylen Tapp and Savannah Tapp; his mother, Joyce Ash; one sister and two brothers. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Saturday, February 27 with service immediately following. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery.
