James "Jim" Edward McCall, 85, died on Tuesday, September 4, 2018. He is survived by two nephews, Edward Johnson (Phyllis) of Cordova, TN. and Mike Johnson (Peggy) of Cologne, Germany, one niece , Janice Harrison (Mike) of Huntsville, AL, and a special friend, Grace Poindexter of Memphis, TN. Mr. Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years Camilla McCall, his parents, Edward and Irene McCall; his sisters, Shirley Johnson and Barbara Harrison and one nephew, Ronald Harrison. Mr. McCall was an Air Force veteran who served in the Korean War as a mechanic on the F-86, based in Japan. He was discharged from active duty in 1955 and joined the Tennessee Air National Guard where he was a mechanic on the C123 and served in the St Louis National Guard for 15 years. He retired from Civil Service at the U.S. Army Aviation Systems Command in 1986 after devoting 35 years of Federal Service. He enjoyed his retirement years in Olive Branch, MS. He was a member of Hale Baptist Church. Visitation with his family will be on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 1:00~2:00 pm with his service following at 2:00 pm at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park, Midtown on Elvis Presley Blvd. 901-775-0310
