James D. McNeer, 87, of Harmontown, MS and formerly of Memphis, went to be with the Lord on April 1, 2014. He was a retired bus driver after over 30 years from Trailways and was a member and deacon of Harmontown Baptist Church. Mr. McNeer was a proud veteran serving in both WWII and Korea. He is survived by his loving wife, Geraldine, whom he married on April 2, 69 years ago; three sons, Ronny (Mary), Mike (Beth), Tommy (Penny); seven sisters; two brothers; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Mr. McNeer was preceded in death by a brother, Leon and a grandson, Micah. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service begins at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home with interment following. In lieu of flowers, the family request any memorials be sent to Wounded Warriors Fund.
