James N. Mize, 84, of Southaven, MS passed away on Monday, February 22, 2016 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, DeSoto. Mr. Mize was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving in the Korean War. He retired from Bell South and also worked for Seimens. He was a member of the Steamfitters Local 614 and an active member of Getwell Road United Methodist Church. James was preceded in death by his son, David Mize; his parents and three brothers. He leaves his wife, Frances Mize; his daughter, Elizabeth Mize of Memphis and brother, Dee Mize of Oxford, MS. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Thursday, February 25 at Forest Hill South with service immediately following. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery.
