James Edward Norfleet, 81, peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis.  He was the son of the late Zula and James Norfleet and brother to the late Lynne D. Norfleet.  He was the loving and devoted husband to the late Vanquita F. Norfleet of 49 years.  He is survived by his children, daughter, Desiree J. Kitchen, son, Eric J. Norfleet, Sr (Stephanie), and five grandchildren, Robert Kitchen, Jr.,  Treshain Elerson (Grey), Eric Norfleet, Jr., Ruwth Norfleet, and Erika Kitchen.  He leaves to mourn in his passing yet rejoice in his memory a host of other relatives and dear friends.  The family will receive friends Friday, October 1, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Forest Hill Funeral Home-Midtown.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 2, at 2:00 pm at Forest Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park-Midtown
