James Robert Norris, Sr., 85, passed away on March 10, 2017. He was born February 2, 1932 in Saltillo, MS to Offie Lucille Thornly and Charlie Lee Norris. He graduated from Messick High School and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Patsy Bilderback Norris; children, Vicki Walker (Robert), Kathi Sellers, and James Norris, Jr.; grandchildren, Amanda Torfin (David), Holly Sellers, Brooke Sellers, and Shelby Collins (Peyton); six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Peggy Jennings and Virgil Norris (Dorothy). He was preceded in death by his parents, grandchild, Will Mohundro; and siblings, Charles Norris and Frances Hall. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, March 20 and funeral service will be at 12 noon p.m. Tuesday, March 21 at Forest Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, East. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.
