James A. Pittman Jr., 87, passed away at his home in Walls, MS and entered the gates of heaven on Sunday, March 19, 2023. James loved to travel, not just anywhere but out west. He headed west every chance he could with the love of his life Maxine, who was waiting in heaven to welcome him home. His favorite hobby was woodworking and he spent his spare time in his shop working on the perfect project, whether it was making a sewing cabinet or a desk or something smaller. He loved the Lord with all his heart and showed it by always being ready to lend a helping hand with anything his church needed him to do. He was chairman over the building and grounds maintenance and carried this title seriously. He leaves behind two daughters Angela Leist (Rodney) and Riva Blair; five grandchildren: Dana Lewis (George), Brandie Leist, J.B Leist (Alana), Amber Wong (Andy), and Madison Blair; three great grandchildren: Conner Lewis, Tucker Lewis, and Kaleb Leist. He also leaves behind his brother David (Pat), and sister Sandra Smith (George). He is preceded in death by his wife Maxine Pittman and parents James A. Pittman Sr. and Elsie Mae Pittman. We know our dad's name was written in the book of life and may your name be there as well. Our prayer is you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and one day you will see the Lord and James in heaven where they will be waiting to welcome you home. What a glorious celebration that will be!
