JAMES LEE PURDOM, 58, of Memphis passed away suddenly from natural causes on Monday, July 28, 2014 at Methodist University Hospital. Mr. Purdom was a loving father and grandfather. He was a Master Trim Carpenter by trade and retired after 30 years. He is preceded in death by his parents: Ron and Dorothy Turner. He leaves three children: Crystal Leigh Hudson (Josh), James Matthew Purdom, Abby Lynne Purdom and her mother and Jim''s longtime companion Sandra Capers Purdom, five grandchildren and three siblings: Joyce Gillock, Patricia Ann Fitzherbert and Kenneth William Purdom. Service will be 2 p.m. Friday, August 1 with visitation starting at 1 p.m. at Forest Hill South. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery.
