James M. Royal was born in Paducah, KY on April 3, 1935 to Robert R. and Marguerite Royal, and passed away in Memphis, TN on August 10, 2016 at the age of 81 years. James was a member of Covenant Life Church. James was preceded in death by his wife of over 42 years, Mary Louise Royal; and daughter, Regina Royal. He is survived by his son, James Patterson (Pat); sister, Marguerite Royal Simpkins (Tom); grandchildren, Michael, Sheila and Bernadette; and by great grandchildren, Jacob and Clair. A visitation will be held on Monday, August 15 from 10-11 AM with funeral services to immediately follow at 11:00 AM, all at Forest Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park East, 2440 Whitten Road, Memphis, TN 38133.
