Obituary

James Hugh Scoggins, 83, long time resident of Ingrams Mill, MS, has gone home to be with the Lord in Heaven.  He was born at Blue Lake, AR to Robert Earl Scoggins and Lillian Ozelle Nance.  He graduated from Treadwell High School in Memphis, TN and attended Memphis State University.  He ran two very successful businesses in the Memphis area:  Scoggins Service Company, a commercial equipment company, then Ingram's Mill Trading Post in the Byhalia, MS area.   He enjoyed hunting, gardening and running.  He enjoyed traveling to the west and Mexico.   He leaves behind his daughter, Sharon Scoggins Luther (Bobby); three granddaughters:  Renee Luther Baker (Bobby), Kristy Luther Hooker (David), and Becky Luther Hendon (Shane); six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-granddaughters; his sisters, Bobbie Scoggins Moore (Will); Nancy Scoggins Kirkland (Jean), and Jayne Scoggins Frazier (Ricky).  He was preceded in death by his sons, James Hugh Scoggins, Jr., and Ricky Lane Scoggins; his parents, Robert and Ozelle Scoggins; and his sister, Carol Jeanne Scoggins (Thurman).    Family and friends will gather to share memories from 12:00-2:00 p.m., Friday, followed by services at 2:00 p.m.  Both will be held at Forest Hill Funeral Home & Memorial  Park-Midtown.  Interment will be at Forest Hill South Cemetery.   Bro. Donald Sculley will be officiating.
