Southaven - James H. "Sonny" Cunningham, 78, of Southaven, MS passed away on Tuesday, May 27 at his home. Mr. Cunningham is preceded in death by his parents: Abe L. and Mattie Bell Cunningham. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary Alice Cunningham; six children: Mike Cunningham (Tracy), Denise McOwen (Mike), Mitchell Cunningham, Teresa Jones (Bobby) Gina Hiltner and Liza Cunningham; 10 grandchildrern: Joshua, John, Jesse, Danielle, Jamie, Claire, Abby, Brannon, Taylor and Tristan; 2 great-granddaughters; 2 sisters, Linda Warren and Betty Strong. He will be missed by Bindi, his beloved dog. Sonny enjoyed his retirement years by spending time at the beach and traveling on numerous cruises. Service will be Thursday, May 29 at Forest Hill South with visitation from 12:30 to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery. Following the interment a reception will be held at The Best Western Hotel: 6910 Windchase Dr. in Horn Lake, MS.
