James E. Steadman, 87 passed away Thursday, November 1, 2012, at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Oxford, MS. Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday at Charleston Church of God Church with entombment to follow at 3:30 p.m. at Forest Hill Mausoleum South in Memphis, TN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. He was a World War II Army Veteran and a retired assembler for Magnetics in Memphis. James was preceded in death by his wife Reba and leaves his brother, Ret. USMC Col. Henry Steadman, of Gulf Breeze, FL; and his sister, Juanita Murphy, of Oxford, MS. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the Benevolent Fund for James E. Steadman.
