James "Jimmy" Stewart Wood, 71, of Cordova passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Memphis. Mr. Wood served in the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy. In his earlier years he worked for the Corps of Engineer. He received his Master''s in Business Administration and was a Professor of Economics at Memphis University before retiring and was a member of the NRA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Wood and parents: Raymond S. and Eleanor A. Wood. Jimmy leaves his wife Ann Gary WoodÍ two daughters: Cynthia Wester (Albert) and Debra L. SeunarineÍ also four grandchildren. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Monday, October 26 at Forest Hill Funeral Home East with service at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Forest Hill East Cemetery.
