James R. Sulcer, 83, of Hernando, MS, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2012 at Baptist DeSoto Memorial Hospital, in Southaven, MS. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, August 9 at Forest Hill Funeral Home South, with interment to follow in Forest Hill Cemetery South. Visitation will be held from 12 to 2 p.m. Mr. Sulcer is an Army Veteran, serving in the Korean War. He graduated from Shawnee High School in Arkansas and was a graduate of Arkansas State University in Jonesboro where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon. He is also a member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion. James is a member of First Presbyterian Church of Hernando, MS. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra T. Sulcer. He leaves two daughters: Angela J. Sulcer and R. Maria Sulcer both of Cincinnati, OH; one son, James R. Sulcer, Jr., of Nashville, TN; one sister, JoAnn Sulcer of North Little Rock, AR; three brothers: Kenneth S. Sulcer of Jonesboro, AR, Warren Sulcer of Marked Tree, AR, and Curtis Sulcer of Osceola, AR; 5 Grandchildren: Dylan M., Ava Jaymes, Shayne R. and Beaux C. all of Nashville, TN, and Jesse Sulcer of Cincinnati, OH.
