James A. Terry, 86, of Germantown, TN, was born on June 25, 1931 in Pine Top, Tennessee to the late, Leonard and Iris Terry. He passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2017. He was a retired Service Center Manager for Exxon, an Army veteran, and a member of Forest Hill Church of Christ. Mr. Terry is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Avis Terry; son, Jim Terry (Teresa); daughters, Donna Parrish (Lynn), Diane Ray (Eddie); six grandchildren, Allison Webb, Chase Terry, Nathan Parrish, Hayden Parrish, Sarah Ray, Edison Ray; and four great grandchildren, Palmer Webb, Thompson Webb, Charlie Parrish and "Baby Girl" Parrish. Visitation will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 6 until service begins at 11 a.m. at Forest Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, East with interment following. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be sent to Memphis School of Preaching.
