James Aaron Thompson, 87, of Walls, MS went to be with the Lord Thursday, August 1, 2019. Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his parents, Preacher and Grace Thompson. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jean Thompson; daughter, Vickie Fernandez(Gene); daughter, Mitzi Myers; grandchildren, Xevan and Maiya Myers; and brother, Bobby Thompson. Mr. Thompson served our country in the US Navy during the Korean War. He later had a career as a draftsman at Malone & Hyde where he retired after 32 years of dedicated service. He was a member of Gracewood Baptist Church where he and his wife served the Lord together. The family will receive friends Monday, August 5, 2019 from 1-2 pm with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm. Both visitation and funeral will be held at Forest Hill Funeral Home, Midtown with burial to follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, South.
