James D. Threadgill, 88, passed away in Memphis, TN on January 7, 2020.  Mr. Threadgill served his country proudly, and retired from the United States Air Force. He also retired from the Memphis Defense Depot. Mr. Threadgill was a faithful member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his sister, Johnnie Ruth Threadgill DelRosario. Left to honor and cherish his memory is his loving wife of 60 years, Juanita "Nita" Holley Threadgill, daughter, Janet Dee Grassette (Ron) of Memphis, and son, John David Threadgill (Jennifer) of Cordova. Mr. Threadgill was blessed with 6 grandchildren: Jeffery Wayne Grassette, Bradley James Grassette, Austin Hunter Threadgill, Parker Garrett Threadgill, Taylor Victoria Threadgill, and Summer Holley Threadgill.  Visitation with his family will be on Friday, January 10, 2020, 9:30-10:00 am with funeral services following at 10:00 am at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park, East on Whitten Road. 901-382-1000  Mr Threadgill will receive full military honors at Memphis Memory Gardens Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorial donations be given to Good Shepherd United Methodist Church.
