James A. Walker, 83 , of Minerva , died Monday , March 30 , 2020 in the Meadow Wind Health Care Center in Massillon . He was born July 7 , 1936 in Minerva to Herman and Marjorie ( Weikert ) Walker . He retired from Bell South and was a US Navy Veteran . He was also an avid bowler .

He is preceded in dea t h by his wives , Nettie J . Walker and Joyce ( Burns ) Walker ; 5 sisters , Norma Gross , Marilyn Midcap , Bernice Tenant , Dorothy Wilt , Phyllis Hamilton ; and a brother , Richard Walker . He is survived by 3 stepdaughters , Kim ( Ken ) Waseman of Massillon , Lee Ann Thorn ( David Best ) of Bath , Rhonda ( Robert ) Woodhall of Louisville ; 3 stepsons , Rick ( Katy ) Compton of South Haven , Miss , Joseph ( Lisa ) Johnston of Louisville , Scott ( Sue ) Johnston of Canal Fulton ; sister - in - law , Bev Walker of Minerva , brother - in - law , Robert Midcap of Minerva and numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren .
