James "Cleo" West, 86, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Memphis. Mr. West was born in Carbon Hill, AL and grew up in Jasper, Al. After high school he moved to Memphis to work, shortly after he joined the U.S. Army. After service he came back to Memphis and worked for Hunter Fan Company and MLGW for a while. Cleo went to several trade schools. He was proud of getting the opportunity to move to New York there he worked for Grumman Aerospace and worked on the Lunar Module. After that he moved back to Memphis and worked for Sid Harvey Industry and finally retired from Central Supply. Mr. West is preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Verna West. He leaves his wife of 62 years, Nadine DavisÍ four children: Jamie Dickey (Larry) of Memphis, Jolene Wilson (Ron) of Memphis, Paul West of Dallas, TX and Darrell West (GiGi) of Denver, COÍ four grandchildren: Jesseca Thibodeau (Jon Marc) of Germany, Doug Dickey of Collierville, TN, Michelle Middleton (William) of Birmingham, AL, and Sarah Wilson (Justin Smith) of Pensacola, FLÍ three greatgrandchildren: Jackson and Brooklyn Thibodeau and Harper Middleton. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, September 12 with service immediately following at Forest Hill Funeral Home East location on Whitten Road. Burial will be in Forest Hill East Cemetery.
