James Edward Youngman, aged 86, of Memphis, TN passed away following a brief illness on February 2, 2026 at Methodist North Hospital.

Born on January 25, 1940, in Grenada, MS to Joe Robert and Colleen Belue Youngman. He graduated from Whitehaven High School in Memphis, TN where he met his loving wife of 48 years, Frances Juadene Headley. On September 8, 1960, James and Frances were married at Brooks Road Baptist Church in Memphis, TN. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and proudly served for six years. James worked four decades as a hazmat liquid/gas tanker driver for Cardox and Air Liquide America Corporation. He was recognized by the National Safety Council Truck Driver's Million Mile Club for attaining a total of three million miles and 75,000 hours of continuous driving without a preventable incident.

James loved and cherished his family. His favorite pastime was going to deer camp with family and was proficient in hunting with rifle and bow.

He is survived by two daughters: Ginger Lynn (Michael Lee Moore, deceased) of Waterford, MS and Amanda Jill (Robert Shawn Clement) of Round Rock, TX. He was Paw James to three grandchildren: Kasey Lynn Grady (Stephen Morgan Stafford), Kristen Michelle Clement and Bryan James Clement; one step granddaughter Melissa Moore (Mark Haney); one great grandson Cannon Gray Stafford; and two step great granddaughters: Shauna Haney Walker and Jordan Haney Williamson. He also leaves behind his sister Katie Colleen Apple, sister-n-law Billie Louise Ford Youngman and sister-n-law Connie Lynn Headley Childers; along with three generations of nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by his parents, wife Frances Juadene Headley Youngman, brother Harold Lee Youngman, Sr., son-n-law Michael Lee Moore; brother-n-law Rev. Everett Eli "PeeWee" Childers, Jr., and niece Kristy Paige Childers.

Visitation will be 9:00-10:00am at Forest Hill Funeral Home - East on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. Services honoring James' life will be at 10am with Pastor Dennis Neenan officiating. Private family graveside services will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park - South.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
