Jane Von
Boeckman
Mar 21, 1929 — Oct 17, 2022
Martha "Jane" Langford Von Boeckman, 93, went home to be with the Lord, whom she loved and faithfully served on October 17. 2022.
She was born in Center Hill, Arkansas and grew up in nearby Searcy, where she lived until after graduation. From caring for her invalid mother, Jane worked and saved enough money to put herself through the Baptist School of Nursing in Memphis, TN, to become a Registered Nurse.
Jane was a member of First Baptist Church of Horn Lake for 64 years. She taught 4 th grade girls Sunday School, led the Girls Auxiliary program, leader of the WMU and the Young At Heart programs for many years. She was involved in every bridal and wedding shower for church members for several decades.
She worked for Dr. Sidney Vick as an R.N. until she became the first school nurse in DeSoto County.
Jane was known for her beautiful smile, her generous heart, her love for others, her love for the Lord, and looking to eternity. She inspired several young people to go into the nursing profession from her service.
Jane was devoted to her loving, predeceased husband of 57 years, Harold Von Boeckman. Together, they hosted Pickin' & Grinnin' at their home for 25 years. They were known for their homemade candy at Christmas, personally delivered to those they loved. Always selfless and compassionate, even in her retirement, she continued to serve and care for friends and family. She was an avid reader of the Bible.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Sally Ruth Miles and Sidney Lloyd Langford, and her brother, Miles Langford. Jane is survived by her sister, Maxine Boggs, her son, David (Susan) Von Boeckman and daughter, Ramona (Alex) Balducci. She is survived by her grandchildren: Cori Smith, Lane (Oriana) Smith II, Konrad (Ashley) Von Boeckman, Lelia Kaitlin Kroth, Elana (Ray) Patrick, and Evie Von Boeckman, and three great-grandchildren: Levi Von Boeckman, Atlas Smith, and Ray Patrick IV.
Jane's wish for everyone is to know that Jesus loves you, and He died for you. He was resurrected that you might have eternal life with Him. Call upon Him, ask Him into your heart and life, and be "Born Again" and she will see you in Heaven.
For any memorials, the family requests to buy animals for families, in Jane's memory, at World Vision at donate.worldvision.org.
