Janice Roderick of Gainesville, GA, age 72, loving sister, aunt and friend passed away on Wednesday,
September 23, 2020. She was born on September 7, 1948 in Hattiesburg, MS.
As a special needs adult, Janice found the beauty in life despite her lifelong struggle with disabilities. She
enjoyed traveling with her caretakers and friends, working at the shelter shop, and being around family.
Janice's love for coffee and Elvis Presley taught all who knew her that the simplest things in life can truly
bring you the most joy.
Janice was the daughter of the late Clayton Joseph Roderick and the late Joyce Byrd Roderick. She is
survived by her four siblings, Clayton J. Roderick of Olive Branch, MS (Celine); Barbara R. Flowers of
Gainesville, GA (Larry) and nieces and nephew Jennifer Agnew, Rebecca Osborne and John Flowers;
Sharmon R. Holley of Cordova, TN and nieces and nephew Rachael Corsaro, Benjamin Holley and
Elisabeth Ramsey; Carl E. Roderick of Memphis, TN and niece and nephew Lacy Roderick and Blake
Roderick. She is also survived by many loving and supportive family members and friends.
