On Thursday, July 14, 2022, Jannice Lavonne Rose, loving mother of four children, nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, passed away at the age of 79.

Jannice was born on Febuary 28, 1943 in Ripley, Tennessee to Helen and Maurice Sorrell. She was a caring homemaker and a professional cake decorator. On June 10, 1961 she married Doug Rose. They raised two sons, Barry and James, and two daughters, Donna and Karen.

Jannice was an avid reader and loved to cook and bake. Her gift was her compassion. She always put the well being of others before her own.

Jannice was preceded in death by her mother, Helen, her father, Maurice, and her brothers, Ronnie, Johnny and Glenn. She is survived by her four children, Donna, Karen, Barry and James, her sisters, Anita and Denise, and her brothers, Ken and Michael.

A funeral service will be held at noon Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Forest Hill Funeral Home Midtown at 1661 S. Elvis Presley Blvd., Memphis, TN 38106 with visitation to begin at 11. Flowers may be sent to the funeral home.
