Jean M. Higgins was born September 20, 1926 in Maysville, North Carolina. She completed her 89 year Journey here on Earth and moved into her permanent address in Heaven on July 3, 2016. She was the widow of James Lee Higgins. She is survived by 4 children: Ann Simmons (Andy) of Hoover, AL, David Lee Higgins (Kay) of Lynchburg, VA, Jimmy Lee Higgins of Charlotte, NC, and Michael Joseph Higgins (Belinda) of Southaven, MS; 6 grandchildren: Angel Higgins, Jennifer Bromfield, Kari/Grayson Cochran, Krista Granote, Michael Joseph Higgins, Jr., and Jessica Higgins Cotter; 5 great-grandchildren: Nolan, Marlo, Parker, Jack, and Jessee. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 1 brother: Mildred, Etta, Alma, and Julian. She is survived by 1 sister, Inez Smith as well as other family members and friends. A visitation will be held Saturday July 9, 2016 from 9-10 am with a funeral service to follow at 10:00 at Forest Hill Funeral Home; South on Holmes Rd. Interment will follow at Twin Oaks Cemetery in Southaven.
