Jean M. James, 83, of Memphis, TN, passed away quietly at her home on August 11, 2014. She was a retired full charge bookkeeper at Mitchell and Son and a member of Union Avenue Baptist Church. Mrs. James is survived by three children, Stephen James, Wanda James-Johnson, and Cynthia James; two sisters, four brothers; two grandchildren, Catherine Cunningham, Justin Johnson; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, August 14 and service will be 2 p.m. on Friday, August 15 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home with interment following.
