Marjean “Jean” Downs Moss, 99, of Atoka, TN, passed away on April 29. She was born on March 6, 1927, in Jonesboro, AR, to Archibald Downs and Gladys McCall Downs. A graduate of Memphis State College, Jean received her Bachelor of Education and taught first grade at Saint Ann Bartlett for 12 years. Previously, she taught at Trenor’s and Graham Heights. She attended Pleasant Union Presbyterian Church. 

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bo” Moss. She is survived by her daughter, Sherri Jones (Aaron); her nieces Susan O’Guin (Don) and Deborah Barksdale (Robert); and her great-nephew Don O’Guin III. She loved the Lord, her family, teaching, and reading. 

A graveside funeral service will be held on May 6 at 2:00 at Memphis Memory Gardens on Raleigh Lagrange.
