Jeanette Bernard Shoults (1927-2015) One of eight children born to A.J. Bernard and Erma Stanley Bernard in Parkin, Arkansas. She attended Parkin High School where she played basketball and was Homecoming Queen. After graduating from high school, she was the first in her family to attend professional school. Her career as a registered nurse spanned forty years and she always loved her work. She was an active member of Cherokee Baptist Church in Memphis, and Life Line Baptist Church in Little Rock. She loved to travel and she enjoyed several trips to Europe.
The true joy and love in her life were her immediate and extended family. She was married to Louis ("Dink") Shoults and they raised four children together: Jeanette, Frank, George, and Louis. They raised their children in Memphis and Little Rock. She adored her grandchildren: Danette, Amber, Zachary, Rachel and Sophie. She was also fortunate to have many years with her great-grandchildren: Joshua, Nathaniel, Erin, Lillianna Grace, and Benjamin. She loved her brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews dearly. She had a wonderful laugh and a beautiful smile. She was the epitome of generosity and unconditional love. She was deeply loved and will be missed.
Visitation will be at 1 pm on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Forest Hill Funeral Home Midtown on Elvis Presley Boulevard. Funeral services will follow at 2 pm.
