Obituary Jerry Wayne Howell

Jerry Wayne Howell, 86, of Hickory Wythe passed into his heavenly home on August 6th in the comfort of his own home, surrounded by his son, Craig, and daughter-in-law, Kaylee. Jerry was born in Columbia, TN and graduated from Central High School in Memphis, TN. He worked in the Financial Information Technology field for 42 years with National Bank of Commerce / Commerce General Corporation and Suntrust Bank.

Jerry will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and friend. He will be missed dearly by his countless family, friends, and coworkers. He was an avid Houston Astros fan and greatly enjoyed game shows; he never missed a ball game and could answer trivia questions before the contestants had a chance to ring in.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Tina Howell, father, Clarence Howell, and mother, Lourean Howell; brothers Charles L. Howell, Robert J. Howell, and Edward L. Howell; sister Lois Howell Davis; sister-in-law Jo Waldron (Jim); nephews Michael Waldron and Jerry Waldron.

Jerry is survived by his son, Craig Howell (Kaylee) of Memphis, TN; brother Pete Howell (Tina) of Oxford, MS; nephews Steve Waldron of Houston, TX, Jimmy Waldron (Cindy) of LaPlace, LA, Stuart Howell of Nashville, TN; niece Jocie Waldron of Clancy, MT.

The family would like to thank the neighborhood of Hickory Glade for the many years of camaraderie and fellowship that provided lasting friendships.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 12, from 1pm-2pm at Forest Hill East.
