Jerry Lee "D.O." Wilson was born May 30, 1936, and was welcomed into Heaven on November 12, 2018.  He was the son of Edward and Louise Wilson.  Mr. Wilson was a Humes High School graduate, class of 1954.  He served in the U.S. Army and retired from the Commercial Appeal after 44 years.  He was a Clown with the Alchymia Shriners and was past Master of Leila Scott Lodge #289.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Charlene Bradford Wilson; children, Rhonda Kelly (Jack), Venita Hailey and Allen "Bubba" Wilson (Vanessa); grandchildren, Brent Helm (Lori Jo), Kimberly Young (Wesley), Neil Smith (Brittney), Emily Kate Smith and Kaitlyn Wilson; and sister, Beverly Sawyer.  He was preceded in death by granddaughter, Jessica Kelly and sister, Pamela D. Wilson.  A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 p.m., and funeral service will be Friday, 10:00 a.m., with burial following, all at Forest Hill East.
